The decor inside the Valenok focuses on wooden features, from the feature wall of cut logs to the wooden tables and barrels. What isn't wooden is softly glowing in amber, brown, or green, really boosting the general theme of nature and the forest. The lighting is soft and warm, and the huge windows let in plenty of daylight during the earlier hours as you begin to settle in for the night.
This relaxed Moscow nightclub is very much a Russian venue. Although the staff speak some English, the menu and blackboards will all be in Russian only, and some members of staff may struggle to understand you. Make sure to come with someone who speaks Russian if you want to definitely get in, even if you have a reservation. Otherwise it may be difficult if the bouncer for the night does not speak English.

If you want to be there for when the atmosphere actually gets going, you need to stay until around one or two in the morning. But don't try showing up then, as it will be absolutely packed.
