DC10 had a similar story such as the majority of Ibiza clubs, which had been converted from the farm houses called fincas. The finca, which later became one of the most popular places for enjoying the nightlife in Ibiza, was located on the end of the airport runway on the south-east side of the island. Who could even imagine that the old, abandoned finca, far away from the urban zones, would become one day a top party destination? The most famous party, that has been the synonym with DC10 for already 20 years, is a Circoloco or Circo Loco party.
The first Circoloco parties started in 1999, with a weird “timetable” – from 6AM on Mondays, continuing for next 24 hours, while now days the parties usually start later – from 4PM or 6PM, every Monday, therefore Circoloco is also recognized as a Monday party. DC10’s Italian promoters, Andrea and Antonio, had been inviting non-mainstream European DJs, while the artists such as Danny Tenaglia, Sasha, Steve Lawler and Pete Tong were offering to play for free. That was the first step toward becoming one of the 10 top famous clubs, getting out of anonymity. Year by year, putting in the forefront techno music and inviting more and more famous DJs, the reputation of the club grew rapidly, so after only 3 years, the club's residents were Tania Vulcano, Luciano, Ricardo Villalobos, Cirillo, Loco Dice, Jose De Divina and later, the Romanian trio Arpiar, Zip, Matthias Tanzmann, Jamie Jones, Clive Henry, Dan Ghenacia, Sossa, Damian Lazarus, Andrew Grant & System Of Survival, while, speaking about high-profile celebrities, the regular guests were also Richie Hawtin, Josh Wink, Magda and Dinky. Thanks to so called minimal techno music way, DC10 is considered responsible that European minimal techno sound became dominant in the second half of last decade.
Even it became famous and frequented by many famous persons, the club kept his original underground spirit, remaining out of Ibiza super clubs category, such as Amnesia, Pacha, Privilege, etc. It was not projected as huge, polished Ibiza clubs, with some kind of corporative spirit for making money, and with perfect sound and illumination system that coasted hundred thousands of euros. Its founders decided to keep easy, relax look, so the whole space looks more like some warehouse and open air raves, inspired by the vicinity of the airport, with the uncovered terrace and with planes flying low over the club.
Founded in 1999, the Circoloco parties, as already mentioned, first took place at DC10 as a Monday session only, but later became a famous dance brand in many countries. In 2015 the Circoloco party had its first happening out of Spain, in Japan. Being a part of this happening gives you the possibility to hear crowd of excellent DJs and the best techno sound.
The line-up scheduled for 2018 is: Seth Troxler, The Martinez Brothers, Tania Vulcano, Jackmaster, Ellen Allien, Davide Squillace, Matthias Tanzmann, &ME, Clive Henry, Konstantin, Ben Klock, Guy Gerber, Richy Ahmed, Joseph Capriati, Gerd Janson, Cirillo, Hunter/Game, Amelie Lens, Apollonia, Rampa, Peggy Gou, Dj Tennis, Honey Dijon, Sossa, Spacetravel, Steve Rachmad, Henrik Schwarz, Acid Mondays and more. The rest of the season still remains unknown, but last year the party hosted big names, such as Disclosure, Art Department, D'Julz, Russ Yallop, Ninetoes, Djebali, Damian Lazarus, Guti, Steve Rachmad, Dan Ghenacia, Dixon, Loco Dice, Luciano, Josh Wink, Butch, Nick Curly, H.O.S.H., Charlotte De Witte, Dana Ruh, Chloé, Bas Ibellini, Kerri Chandler, ÂME, Kölsch, Blond:ish, , Maceo Plex, Nicole Moudaber, Heidi, John Talabot, Solomun, Ben Klock, Mano Le Tough, Miss Kittin, Better Lost Than Stupid (Davide Squillace, Matthias Tanzmann & Martin Buttrich), Red Axes, Santé, Sidney Charles, Serge Devant, Marco Carola, Hunter/Game, Molly, Paco Osuna, Sasha and more.
The huge aircraft hangar will be a perfect place for Circoloco Ibiza 2018. Also, Circoloco Ibiza will celebrate its anticipated 20th anniversary this season, so, prepare and come to make a part of this amazing mass happening.
The closing of the party is also unknown, but it is certain that it will run until October.
