Raffles London has a long and vibrant history under the name of colonial Mughal, “Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles”. It was founded way back in 1967, as an established restaurant capable of bringing the finest international cuisine home to Kings Road, London. Raffles Club has undergone a series of amazing transformations and today it stands as a private members club, with a modern, edgy brand and a high price.

You might have heard of Raffles Club London as the most prestigious, most exclusive private club in London. And that sort of a pedigree, with that sort of a reputation, does not come cheap! This is not your usual “kids and cocktails” clubbing experience. Yes, you will enjoy high class drinks and a vibrant party scene on the dance floor, but you will also be able to eat some high class food, as well
as enjoy some truly wonderful company in the lounge and seating areas. If you want to go crazy, get completely drunk, and party the night away this might not be the right place for you. But if you want to socialize with models, royalty, and celebs, then this is the place you need to be seen.

Raffles Club London is a famous celebrity night club. Kate Middleton & Prince Williams were spotted leaving Raffles Members Club where the couple partied the night. Casey Bachelor was
spotted leaving Raffles Club in Chelsea London. Lucy Mecklenburg was seen leaving the Raffles Club after attending the Kazan 348 Launch party in December 2014.
In short, if you are in Raffles, you are with the best of London's party goers.
Naturally, you are expected to adhere to a very strict code of conduct in Raffles London. This is not one of your run of the mill clubs in Chelsea. You must be dressed properly, well groomed, and in a classy, sexy dress or semi-formal outfit. No matter what you have booked, you will be turned away at the door if you show up in simple sportswear. Intoxication and photography are strictly prohibited, due to the high class nature of the guests at Raffles Club. But if you are a mature, intelligent person, this will be a fantastic night for you.

Club Raffles promises the most delicious, high quality cocktails, most of which are either classic drinks or Raffles Club exclusives, designed by in-house mixologists following secret recipes. Nothing quite equals this quality of drinks.
To be treated as a true VIP, ensure that you use Raffles table bookings. Being on the guest list is naturally essential, but having your own table makes the night very convenient and relaxed, as you will have somewhere to return to between dances, with your drinks, and with your new friends. The only way you will get in without being on the guest list is accompanying an existing member, and only one non-guest may accompany each existing member.

The staff have a solid reputation for being always friendly and eager to please no matter who you are. They understand that if you came in through the door, you are an important person, and will treat you with the respect you deserve. Everyone is someone in Raffles.

THE DRESS CODE AT RAFFLES

Dress codes can be confusing, so let us help you with our detailed, visual guides!

What is recommended:
The recommended look is the best one not just to get you in, but to make you feel at home.

At Raffles people love to get creative with streetwear. This doesn't mean anything goes, but it does mean that alternative looks are acceptable. Imagine the insides of an urban fashion magazine, and you'll have a pretty good idea of the looks people show off at Raffles Club.

Generally the men wear black, blue, grey, or cream jeans, a t-shirt, and a smart jacket or shirt over the top. Something relaxed, nonchalant, but still stylish, clean, and sexy.

Generally the women wear very short dresses and skirts, plenty of sheer and net clothes, bare legs, shoulders, and deep scoop necks, with loose hair, minimal jewellery, and a statement piece like a fun handbag or some incredible boots.

What is allowed:
The allowed clothes are the full range of what will get you through the door.

Semi-formal attire for men includes:
-smart jeans in most colours

-button down shirts (long or short sleeve)

-polo shirts

-sweaters

-smart outdoor jackets

-smart shoes (no trainers, sandals, or flip flops)

Semi-formal attire for women includes:
-sexy little dresses (including shirt dresses)

-miniskirts

-crop tops

-strappy tops

-mesh and sheer clothes

-leather and pleather clothes

-bare legs

-any shoe with a heel 2"-10" tall

What is a grey area:
The grey area are clothes that might be allowed some days/events and not others, or that are at the discretion of door staff. In short, if you happen to be in the area, wearing these clothes and want to check the club out, then maybe see if you can. You might get lucky. But if you are actually planning a night here? Avoid these and go for something closer to the dress code.

Raffles has a lot of grey areas. Because they like trendy urban chic looks, there are many ways to get these wrong. In principle, if you don't feel like you could be in the pages of a fashion magazine, you probably aren't polished enough. Work on a look that feels like more of a celebrity style than everyday clothes. You want to wow with your look.

The biggest grey area is distressed look clothes. This is one of the sexiest clubs in London, so they actually love a look like cut off jeans, or cut leggings, on women. However something too distressed might be seen as tatty and could be turned away by door staff. And men would do better to avoid distressed look altogether.

What is forbidden:
These clothes will get you turned away at the door, even if you are on the guest list, have a table with bottle service reserved, and it's your birthday. Sorry.

No sportswear. No trainers, sandals, sports shirts, light sporty nylon fabric, etc.

No men's shorts. Nothing except full-length trousers. 3/4 lengths, smart shorts, etc, are not acceptable. Women can wear shorts, however, so long as they are stylish and fit well.

No heavy, bulky, or puffy clothes. Even though an outdoor jacket, such as a sheepskin lined denim jacket, can tie an image together, don't wear something big, like a wool coat or a puffer jacket. Not only would it be too warm, it will probably get you turned away. Take off outdoor coats before going in.

No loose or saggy clothes. Stylish streetwear does not mean true American 1980s hip hop style. We have to leave sagging jeans, harem pants, and oversized shirts at home.

No t-shirts without something on top. Because the venue is very fond of the "urban sexy" look, they don't mind t-shirts. But only as long as you have a sweater, shirt, or jacket on top. A plain t-shirt will get turned away at the door 99.99999% of the time.

No "comfy" shoes. If the main focus of these shoes is comfort, such as timberlands, uggs, work style boots, etc, just avoid them.
