The name, meaning "insomnia" in Russian, alludes to the sheer life and force of the party that goes on every weekend behind its doors.
The inside of this club is a weird sort of dystopian future, with a combination of rough and tribal elements, such as burning fire and warm, roughly shaped wood emulating the natural world, and the bold neon glow and sharp lines of trendy modern furniture. Beyond the walls you can see stunning panoramic views of traditional inner Moscow, whilst surrounded by the nightlife of the city in its modern state. You will feel like you are a post-apocalyptic superhero in this amazing Moscow nightclub.
During the working week the Bessonica is an elegant little restaurant called SHAKTI Terrace, which is also highly recommended. The dining room area adds a touch of class, with leather upholstered bucket seats and more conventional glass topped dining tables under the warm, flattering red lights of the venue. The food is divine. Definitely book a table there if you can. But at the weekend it transforms into the Bessonica nightclub.
The drinks at Bessonica are delicious. Choose from high end brands of spirits and champagne to specialist cocktails mixed to perfection. Whatever your tastes, there is something for you. The prices are a little high for Moscow, but it is well worth it for the quality of the drinks, the atmosphere, and the company.
And if you want a show with your drinks, this is the place you want to be! The big-top circus styled roof is not just there for a gimmick: There are actual trapeze artists and acrobats spinning up in the heights of the roof, under the bright spotlights. Their sexy figures and daring feats will keep you enthralled all night long.
The people at the Bessonica club in Moscow are just as sexy as the performers, though! You will see the most beautiful people in Moscow dancing to the sounds of the best Moscow DJs and some amazing international DJs too, from top 40 tracks, to house, to tech. You will not stop dancing at this pumping venue.
Just like most venues in Europe, the Bessonica opens late and stays open all night long. At the weekends it opens its doors at almost midnight on a Friday night and stays open til it's time to have breakfast on Saturday, repeating the next night. The Bessonica in Moscow only really gets lively around two in the morning, but most people will not get in at the door.
Alternatively, to avoid having to wait around for the action to start, you can reserve a table, bottle service, or get on the guest list in advance and just waltz through the doors at one or two, when the party is starting to get properly lively.
