You may have already heard about Paris's best rooftop party. The Maison Blanche Club Montaigne, otherwise known as "Rooftop Night Club Paris 8", is one of the most exclusive clubs in Paris. Looking right out across the Eiffel Tower from the top of the Theatre des Champs-Elysees, there is not a more beautiful, atmospheric setting to enjoy a high-class party all night long.
An upmarket restaurant by day, every Saturday night, from midnight until the early hours of the morning, Maison Blanche opens up into a luxurious nightclub. The building itself would seem a little plain by day, but at night, with performers on every available surface, views out across Paris, and state of the art lighting, this is the most magical place to be.
The dancers vary depending on the night, but the costumes are always exquisite, and their dancing abilities are almost acrobatic. They have various distinct areas with different music and performances every night, ranging from techno and top 40 work from their resident DJs, to live music of any genre you can imagine. You will not be bored for a second at this trendy Paris club.
The drinks served here are high end, from classic cocktails made from exquisite spirits, to fine wines and exclusive champagnes. Being a restaurant, they do sometimes serve light bites at the bar as well.
The minimum age is 18, but the age range of the guests is quite varied. Expect a beautiful, sophisticated crowd more interested in hanging out, sipping champagne, and enjoying the music than in dancing nonstop. There is space for dancing, yes, but the atmosphere is distinctly more social and relaxed than energetic. This is a great place to meet interesting new people.
For a while this hot Paris club was almost exclusively visited by the locals, but as soon as the "secret" was out it became equally as popular with tourists of all nationalities. Now it is like a microcosm of Paris itself, full of diverse and interesting people from around the world, not to mention a few celebrities who love to sneak away from the pap to get some peace and quiet in a luxurious setting. So if you want to spot a few celebrities and hang out with the rich and famous, this is by far one of your best options.
The dress code at Club Montaigne is smart and sexy. Men are expected to wear a nice fitted button down shirt and smart trousers. Jeans are not appropriate. Women wear anything from a cocktail dress, to an evening gown, to a pantsuit, but always smart and beautiful. Absolutely no sportswear, distressed look, or casual clothing.
Make sure to book a table, because you will not be able to get one on the night. There are not many tables when the restaurant converts into a club, and naturally both tables and bottle service are in high demand every Saturday. This isn't a place where anyone gets in standing at the queue. You're either on the guest list, or you're not. Are you ready to experience the peak of Parisian nightlife?
