THE DRESS CODE AT CAFÉ DE PARIS
Dress codes can be confusing, so let us help you with our detailed, visual guides!
What is recommended:
The recommended look is the best one not just to get you in, but to make you feel at home.
Café de Paris guests generally dress "red carpet sexy". The outfits need to be classy and elegant, yes. You need to look a million bucks. But you should also dress sexy and sensual. The men here generally wear fitted shirts or tight long-sleeve tops, smart blue or black jeans, suit trousers, and sports coats. Shoes are very variable. Men's jewellery is allowed.
The women here generally wear very small cocktail dresses. You will look a bit out of place if you are not wearing something quite revealing, so aim for three of: low cut, short skirt, fitted, open midriff. Jewellery is generally subtle, make up natural, and hair loose.
What is allowed:
The allowed clothes are the full range of what will get you through the door.
Because the venue is cabaret themed, they let guests have a lot of fun with their looks. So long as you look glamorous and sexy, you will not be stopped because of your clothes.
Red carpet sexy for men includes:
-fitted polos, long sleeve tops, and button down shirts
-black and blue jeans
-black and grey suit trousers, well fitted
-suit jackets and sports jackets
-statement jewellery
-polished black or brown leather (or faux leather) shoes
Red carpet sexy for women includes:
-cocktail dresses
-minidresses
-little black dress
-sexy and elegant rompers
-sexy two piece outfits
-heeled shoes between 2" and 8"
What is a grey area:
The grey area are clothes that might be allowed some days/events and not others, or that are at the discretion of door staff. In short, if you happen to be in the area, wearing these clothes and want to check the club out, then maybe see if you can. You might get lucky. But if you are actually planning a night here? Avoid these and go for something closer to the dress code.
Rompers and shorts are a grey area. Men's khaki shorts and women's rompers and two piece outfit shorts will probably be allowed in. But denim shorts, men's rompers, and loose, light shorts will probably be turned away at the door.
Loafers and other casual mens shoes are hit and miss. Depending on how neat they are and the rest of your look, you could get in wearing loafers, moccasins, or converse shoes. But it's better to not take the risk.
Women's flats are a grey area as well. If your outfit is generally held together and you really can't wear heels, you have a good chance of getting in. But the red carpet sexy look generally doesn't work very well with flats and you might get turned away if you are not in heels.
What is forbidden:
These clothes will get you turned away at the door, even if you are on the guest list, have a table with bottle service reserved, and it's your birthday. Sorry.
No t-shirts. Yes, some celebrities and promoters can be seen around the club in t-shirts, especially at special events. No, most people cannot get away with this.
No sportswear. Absolutely nothing you could consider sportswear. From trainers to tracksuits, sports jerseys to football shirts, this will all get you turned away.
No distressed look clothes. Nothing torn, stained, roughed up, cut off, etc. Even if it is part of the look.
No oversized clothes. Because this is a sexy, glamorous venue, oversized clothes don't fit. You want to be wearing something fitted with a bit of skin on show.
