100 WARDOUR ST

In 1964 Marquee Clubs was established in the height of the era which gave us the best of rock, glam, and pop. Hendrix, Bowie, The Stones, and The Sex Pistols. This amazing brand gave us over two decades of great music before closing its doors in 1988. It then transformed into Mezzo, which has since been re-opened in 2016 as 100 Wardour St. And now, it is coming right back around to its roots, bringing us the best in modern music and edgy urban culture, complete with all the glitz and glam of the rock scene.

With such a rich musical history behind it, there is no wonder that 100 Wardour Street Club London is the perfect venue for all occasions. The ground floor at 100 Wardour St is a stylish and cozy bar and lounge which provides food and cocktails all day long. Depending on the menu you can select any delectable drinks and snacks you like, from homemade granola to Thai beef noodles, buttermilk chicken to juices.

Drop down to the basement for a surprisingly lavish London music club. This is pretty standard for what you expect to see in a fun, indulgent Soho nightclub, but a bit of a break from the more relaxed daytime atmosphere upstairs. It draws on the beautiful heritage of the Marquee Club London with its classic décor meeting modern installations and music.

If you want to stop by for a bite at night, the Playroom London is a comfortable place set up for some tasty food and great drinks between episodes of partying and dancing. With a head chef like Jonas Karlsson, who owns a 2AA rosette, you should expect nothing but the finest food, from the freshly ground coffee to the delicious pancakes. Any time of day the 100 Wardour Street provides an escape from your everyday life, a nice little refuge from the rest of London.

Five nights a week the basement of the 100 Wardour St lights up with amazing DJs, and every Saturday night live music echoes throughout the venue. There is a wide range of styles accommodated, from acoustic piano every Monday to Tuesday jazz, and motown on Wednesdays to 90s and 00s on Thursday. At the weekend you can expect the very best of soul, funk, pop, and dance, ready to get yourself moving on the dance floor. In Soho's musical tradition, they are committed to finding the best talent and showcasing it, no matter what the artist or genre.

At this fun London club, the dress code is smart casual. They do like it when their guests dress up in their own unique style and show off a little edge. Just remember that it is still a high end club, so men should wear collared shirts and suit trousers, blue or black jeans, or khakis, with smart polished shoes. And women should wear something smart and sexy, but also comfortable, such as a nice cocktail dress, or smart jeans with a button down blouse and smart shoes. If you aren't dressed well enough, you might get turned away.

THE DRESS CODE AT 100 WARDOUR ST

Dress codes can be confusing, so let us help you with our detailed, visual guides!

What is recommended:
The recommended look is the best one not just to get you in, but to make you feel at home.

A smart casual look is a great idea at this trendy, high-end club. You are recommended to be true to your own style, but within reason. Most men here will be wearing clean blue jeans, a shirt, and a sweater, with polished brown or black smart shoes. Most men here will not be wearing jewellery, a tie or cufflinks. Most men here will have short hair, and long hair is best tied back.

Most women here will be wearing smart trousers or a skirt, a blouse, and no coat, with some delicate jewellery, loose hair and natural make-up. Low-cut and short outfits are absolutely welcome, and you will not feel out of place dressed nice and sexy here.

What is allowed:
The allowed clothes are the full range of what will get you through the door.

Smart casual for men includes:
-blue jeans

-suit trousers

-khakis

-button-down shirts

-polos

-sweaters without hoods or graphics

-polished leather (or faux leather) brown or black shoes

-two piece suits

Smart casual for women includes:
-cocktail dresses

-lounge dresses

-blue jeans

-blouses

-suit style dresses

-two piece pant suits

-two piece skirt suits

-delicate heels ranging 1-4" high

-ballet flats

They like people to feel at home, so whether your usual smart look is a shirt and jeans, or a gothic style dress with leggings, or a fitted suit, you should dress as you please within the above definitions.

What is a grey area:
The grey area are clothes that might be allowed some days/events and not others, or that are at the discretion of door staff. In short, if you happen to be in the area, wearing these clothes and want to check the club out, then maybe see if you can. You might get lucky. But if you are actually planning a night here? Avoid these and go for something closer to the dress code.

Sportswear and jeans are very much a grey area. Some things, like a statement sports jersey, can be considered a fashion choice. Whereas others, like tracksuit bottoms, are ridiculous here. Depending on who is staffing the door at night, they might consider some cardigans or jerseys to be active sportswear and would turn you away.

Shorts, rompers, and 3/4 length trousers are also a grey area. Women are more likely to get away with these than men, but even as a woman you might be turned away if you are underdressed, so it's best to go with something a bit more formal.

What is forbidden:
These clothes will get you turned away at the door, even if you are on the guest list, have a table with bottle service reserved, and it's your birthday. Sorry.

No hats, large bags, or heavy coats. You can get in if you check them into the cloakroom, but bulky items ruin the atmosphere entirely.

No beachwear. This means no swimwear, no flip flops or sandals, no Hawaiian shirts, and no sarongs or other light coverings.

No distressed look clothes. Jeans, leggings, and tights should not be torn, worn, or otherwise look damaged. It might be in fashion but it is not allowed here.

No light, oversized, or floaty clothes. Sun dresses, muumuus, oversized shirts, sagging trousers of any kind, or see-through clothing allowed.

No t-shirts. Man or woman, conventionally fitting t-shirts are not allowed. A nice short sleeved polo, button down shirt, or a short-sleeved blouse are permissible.

No sports shoes. Absolutely no trainers, mountain boots, running shoes, converses, or anything else "sporty". Even if it is a fashion statement.
