A hidden urban oasis and an iconic nightlife destination, La Otra is the newest upscale bar and lounge offering expansive choices in how to spend your night in the Wynwood Arts District in Miami. Created by nightlife veterans Marcelo Medina and Jason Odio, you can expect a night you will never forget.
La Otra, Miami’s upscale bar and lounge, has moved from its former location at Brickell to a new indoor/outdoor space in the booming Wynwood neighbourhood. Through the black iron gate at the end of NE 24 street is the entrance to La Otra. Once inside, guests find themselves on an outdoor porch with a tropical garden that creates an intimate atmosphere, La Otra’s signature disco balls and lush plants all hanging from the ceiling. Plush mix and match chesterfield sofas surround the outdoor space. A focal indoor/outdoor, 360 degree bar anchors the space and provides ample access to guests. The outdoor space gives guests a front-row seat to check out the iconic Miami skyline, the famous graffiti walls of Wynwood and from time to time a passing train. La Otra’s interior can be described as an urban oasis with ample greenery, custom green velvet couches and disco balls that surround the bar and dance floor. The walls are adorned with subtle tropical-themed wallpaper, stucco and art deco- styled architecture that sends guests back to the heyday of Miami.
La Otra offers a wide selection of alcohol choices with a heavy emphasis on scotch, tequila and mezcal. The specialty cocktails have playful names such as “Lucia” which is a tequila, lime and grapefruit soda cocktail; and the “Marina” which is a mix of Sacrvm Mezcal, panela syrup, grapefruit juice, pineapple juice and prosecco.
The club offers premium drinks, live performances, Latin dance music and also special night club events. The music at La Otra is a fanatic for all things Latin, with this nightclub’s speakers blasting a mix of Salsa, Reggaeton, and Conga. With infectious music and an imitable vibe, La Otra is the place where there is no resisting the call to the dance floor.
The dress code is strictly enforced at the door, dress to impress. No sporty sneakers, ladies please wear heels. A suggested rule for men is to avoid hats, athletic attire, ripped or loose-fitting clothing, shorts, and jerseys.
