The décor at the Bonbonniere nightclub is inspired by the famous Fabergé eggs. The black and gold colouration and fine details are like a revamped version of a classic Georgian manor house: Pure excess, designed for nightclub royalty, yet brought right into the 21st Century, with perhaps even a touch of futurism. The collection between Fabergé and royalty are pretty deep and meaningful, and Bonbonniere runs with that theme, providing a royal service for their guests. The name "Bonbonniere" itself means "favours", the charming little gifts handed out by the rich and famous to their guests after a party. Likewise, this venue provides a constant stream of delightful little treasures and surprises which will vary depending on the event, the headlining artist, where your table is, and what drinks and amuse-bouche you order. It is also a play on words, as "bonbon" is auromatically associated with sweet, fun things. Which this venue offers in spades.

THE DRESS CODE AT BONBONNIERE

What is recommended:
The recommended look is the best one not just to get you in, but to make you feel at home.
It is hard to be overdressed for this club. They prefer their guests to be "dressy" and sexy. Aim for a look you would expect to see on the red carpet. Men generally wear fitted shirts, polos, or t-shirts. Combine these with blue jeans. Men's jewellery is acceptable here, so long as it isn't too bold and bright.
Women generally wear sexy cocktail dresses, or two piece suits involving a nice top or blouse and a short skirt or some fitted trousers. Try and stick to the rule of two, and choose to wear something that is only two of the following: short skirt, low cut, open midriff, bodycon. Any more than two and you might feel very exposed. Women generally wear simple jewellery, sharp and classic make up, and loose hair.
What is allowed:
The allowed clothes are the full range of what will get you through the door.
Dressy for men includes:

What is a grey area:
The grey area are clothes that might be allowed some days/events and not others, or that are at the discretion of door staff. In short, if you happen to be in the area, wearing these clothes and want to check the club out, then maybe see if you can. You might get lucky. But if you are actually planning a night here? Avoid these and go for something closer to the dress code.
This club is a lot less welcoming of alternative styles. So if something is a little bit "extra", but is in fashion and beautiful, then it will be allowed. But the same look, if it is out of fashion and would make you stand out a lot, might be turned away.
Unlike some clubs, where they are banned, t-shirts are a grey area here, especially if you are a well-known face and/or dropping a lot of money. At the same time, if the staff thinks your t-shirt doesn't look good enough, you're not getting in. Go for a polo instead.
Loose fitting clothes are variable. Some looks are definitely welcome, especially if they are in fashion right now. But sagging trousers, or tops that reach down past your hips, make it hard to get in. When in doubt, choose something fitted.
They also prefer for you to dress in a way that flatters your figure. A slim, tall woman in a fashionable romper, and a larger woman in a longer, looser, more covering cocktail dress will probably get in, but if the outfits were the other way around, they probably would not.
What is forbidden:
These clothes will get you turned away at the door, even if you are on the guest list, have a table with bottle service reserved, and it's your birthday. Sorry.
No hats or heavy coats. Again, if you look too bulky you will be turned away. They might offer the cloakroom for people with winter coats, but make sure to have it off and ready to check in.
No beachwear. No swimming costumes, loose summer dresses, and definitely no flip flops.
No sportswear. No sports shoes, tracksuits, sports jerseys, or anything else that is worn for sport.
No distressed clothing. Nothing torn, shaved, rough, stained, etc. Even if it is intentional and on trend, they feel it doesn't fit the club's image.
