If you want to enjoy a relaxed night out at one of Las Vegas's best lounges, then you need to get to Foundation Room Club Las Vegas, located on the 63rd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel with an amazing balcony overlooking the strip at night from a distance, for the full impact of this amazing view.
This club is located on the top of the Mandalay Bay Hotel, way up 63 floors, with an amazing view of the strip that you really cannot equal. If you manage to get into Ghostbar you will experience a truly Las Vegas exclusive club environment. But you might need to be on The List for a while before you get your invitation.
Indoors, the Foundation Room Club in Las Vegas has a distinctly cosy, ethnic vibe to it. Plenty of traditional Indian sculptures, a moulded ceiling, and low orange and blue lighting all add to the comfort of the environment. However do not expect a sort of tacky "Indian restaurant" vibe. The decor is distinctly modern and refreshing. The comfortable lounge booths and modern wooden stools add to the atmosphere, creating a very unique ambiance which feels like an updated Victorian study. Just the right balance of modern and classical decor to make it feel truly luxurious.
The VIP lounge area is perfect for enjoying some delectable, modern cocktails. The drinks are a pretty normal price for Las Vegas, not the cheapest drinks in Vegas, but not the most expensive either. Until around eight they also offer light snacks with your drinks most nights as well, so if you need to have something light and a drink I recommend that you arrive early. This also ensures you will get a place.
The music available is generally top 40 and hip hop tracks and remixes, with some excellent DJs, but do not expect a young, fresh, dance experience. This is much more of an upscale, luxurious establishment for people to relax and socialize in. Not so much for hitting the dance floor and sweating out your last vodka shot.
Generally the Foundation Room is only available to people who are already on the guest list. You will get free entry for yourself and sometimes a partner when you are on the guest list, as well as the odd complementary drink depending on who you are and what night it is. But if you cannot get on the list, then you can reserve a table for a fairly reasonable price.
And if there are no tables? Then you can always go to the Mandalay Bay Hotel or Casino for dinner or a few rounds of cards, as sometimes they will offer a complementary seat up at the lounge for restaurant or casino patrons. Look out for hosts handing out promotional passes during the day. You are not allowed to bring complementary casino drinks up to the Foundation Room lounge, but besides that they can be relaxed about guests moving between the different resources available in the hotel.
